INTERNSHIP AT SCE AGENCY

SCE Agency is here for ambitious individuals wanting to learn more about the industry. An internship with SCE introduces you from managing talent to marketing, advertising and entrepreneurship development.

Our internships consists of assisting our booking agents, light office work, scouting new talent at open calls, talent development, organizing casting materials, communication with talent and clients, and other daily office projects from the booking staff.

Many interns that have spent time with SCE Agency have gone on to become full/part-time agents on our staff, Agents on staff at other agencies, and other great positions in many different industries across the country.

Internships at SCE Agency are (with school credit or) commission based, in person only, part time, with the opportunity for a paid part-time position with SCE Agency. 

The time commitment would be 3-4 days a week and a minimum of 8-10 weeks. Our office is located in Chicago, with travel time & costs in mind, we prefer individuals that are located within the Chicagoland area.

SCE Agency prefers interns that are receiving school credit for their duration of internship, but will consider anyone interested working at the backend of entertainment. 

Internships at SCE Agency require you to have the following:

  • Able to work on a laptop and smartphone
  • Excellent verbal & writing communication skills
  • Organized & detail oriented
  • Positive attitude and coachable
  • Basic understanding of Office software (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Tech savvy (with software programs such as Adobe, and file sharing sites like WeTransfer, etc)
    Basic understanding of Social Media apps and its current trends
  • Bonus points for knowing how to work with Casting Networks, Casting Frontier, Eco-Cast, Actors Access, Syngency booking software, but this is not required

We’re looking for a full time licensed Talent Agent within our On Camera division to represent and manage the careers of various talent for TV, Film and Commercial. Must be a positive, innovative, creative, independent and dedicated hard worker who can handle many tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Talent Agent should have an understanding of contract negotiations, talent materials, talent development and management, social media marketing and have an existing network/ relationship with casting in various markets.

TALENT AGENT DUTIES:

  • Discover and sign On Camera talent who are looking for representation
  • Seek out and pursue new opportunities in TV and Film for our talent
  • Submit to breakdowns specific to our talent
  • Provide guidance and training in execution of portfolio and audition materials
  • Stay on top of trends in social media marketing for the agency and our talent
  • Present and assist with execution of growth strategies for our talent
  • Attending and presenting the agency and our talent at various industry events

TALENT AGENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Talent Agent License
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with On Camera talent management/talent representation 
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be in office at least 3 days a week
  • Must have an existing network/ relationship with casting in various markets.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Casting websites, such as Breakdown Services.

COMPENSATION:

At SCE Agency, compensation is structured, performance-led, and market-aligned. Salary decisions are intentional, based on role requirements, performance, and market alignment by state, and are set to maintain internal pay equity across comparable roles and levels.

Compensation progression is tied to demonstrated performance, expanded scope, and sustained contribution over time. Compensation is reviewed regularly through formal performance reviews and check-ins to ensure alignment with role expectations and monthly sales.
